Who are we recruiting?
We have a particular demographic that we are targeting for this study, with a focus on age and breed, however, we still greatly appreciate the support of those who do not fit this demographic. The following describes the ideal candidates for the study.
Ideal ponies
| Native breed type |
| Examples: Highland, Shetland, Connemara, Icelandic, Fjord, mixed native, etc. |
| Aged over 4 |
| Based in North East Scotland |
Ideal person
| Owner of 1 or more native breed type ponies |
| Interested in helping to research laminitis |
| Happy to complete questionnaire |
| *Able to facilitate yard visit |
| Located within a 1 hour drive of AB21 9YA |
*Phases 2 and 3 of the study require a yard visit and various measurements to be taken of your horse(s), as well as sample from your horses’ pasture.
